I have been using this for a few weeks now and it is amazing. I did a lot of research on the robot vacuum that would work in my house. I have a lot of cables and tassles on my rugs and other stuff that tends to get jammed up in vacuums. THis guy does not eat them, it has an anti jam feature that prevents this. Also it is very systematic, meaning it just does not go randomly everywhere, this model does grid lines, so you do not get frustrated watching it work. I would have to say that my floor layout is very complete with tons of stuff everywhere and it does manage to get every piece of open floor space and get under every chair, yes every chair (dinning, sofa etc..) . it is the prefect size to fit where a normal vacuum i just ignore. It never gets stuck anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI've had it a few weeks now so I can't comment on longevity. What I can say is that I didn't buy a robo-vacuum for YEARS because 1) they're expensive and 2) I was afraid it wouldn't work.
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks in and I'm totally in love. I've got this little guy set to automatically bump around the main floor of my house 5 days per week and somehow, even though his path is random, he manages to get the floors cleaner than they've been in months. The first day, his bin was packed full and his wheels were wrapped in gossamer cat fur.
Each day since, there's been less hair, less dirt, and super-clean floors.
He gets underneath our bed, the treadmill, the bureau, and other places that were impossible / difficult to reach with a regular vacuum. We have a low pile rug, stone, laminate, and linoleum and he cleans it all with excellence.
And, yes, I'm using 'he' on purpose... we've named him George.
Best little robo-slave I've ever had and I can't believe I waited this long to get one.
Seriously, I totally recommend him. It's amazing to have the floors cleaned while I sit comfortably and watch - or get other work done.
